Según la Organización Mundial del Turismo de las Naciones Unidas, el turismo comprende las actividades que realizan las personas durante sus viajes y estancias en lugares distintos al de su entorno habitual, por un periodo de tiempo consecutivo inferior a un año, con fines de ocio, por negocios y otros motivos.
Tourism is travel for recreational or leisure purposes. The World Tourism Organization defines tourists as people who "travel to and stay in places outside their usual environment for more than twenty-four (24) hours and not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes not related to the exercise of an activity remunerated from within the place visited".

Enlace Base de DatosDespués de haber analizado la página web oficial del Ayuntamiento de San Cristobal de La Laguna puedo permitirme comentar las características tanto positivas como negativas de dicha página. En mi opinión está muy bien estructurada de cara a los residentes que quieran buscar una información específica sobre La Laguna. Sin embargo, con respecto al turismo extranjero debemos destacar que no cubren sus necesidades, ya que esta sólo se presenta en español.
After having analyzed the official web page of the Town hall of La Laguna I can explain the positive and negative characteristcs of this page. In my opinion it is very good constructured for the residents, who want looking for especific information about La Laguna. Nevertheless with regard to the foreign turism must stand out that it doesn´t cover their needs.
Respecto a esta ciudad, nombrada Patrimonio de la Humanidad, quiero señalar que ha mejorado notablemente en los últimos años, destacando el adoquinado de sus calles, ya que han conseguidos que estas sean más transitables y que le den vida a la ciudad. En estos momentos la ciudad ofrece un ambiente acogedor, tanto a los turistas como a los propios lugareños. Los turistas tienen mayor accesibilidad a los comercios y a los monumentos históricos. Muchos residentes, debido al estado de la ciudad prefieren hacer sus compras y pasear en esta.
Como he dicho antes la ciudad ha mejorado, pero en mi humilde opinión queda mucho por hacer. Debemos tener en cuenta que en La Laguna los sábados por la tarde y los domingos prácticamente la vida que tiene es inexistente. El turista que visite esta ciudad durante estos momentos, se encontrará con los establecimientos cerrados ( exceptuando algunos establecimientos la tarde de los sábados y el mercado los domingos). Desde mi punto de vista también cabe señalar el papel que tiene los princiaples monumentos históricos de La Laguna, estando muchos de ellos cerrados y sin ninguna actividad clara en su interior. Se debe sacar más partido a estos, ya que serían muy beneficioso para la ciudad que el turista pueda acceder a ellos y mostrarle más allá que una fachada del Siglo XVII.
With regard to this city I want to remark that it has improved during last years, standing out the cobblestone pavement of the streets. This fact has made the city more passable. In this moment the city offers a homely atmosphere for the tourist and also for the residents. The firsts one have more accesibility to shops and historical monuments. The seconds año prefer going shopping and walk around the city. Like I said before the city has improved but in my opinion it isn't enough and I think we must make a lot. Saturdays and Sundays there aren't any activities.
The tourist, who visits the city, find all the shop practically closed. From my point of view I must remark the role that have the historical monuments, being a lot of them close and without any activity indoor. In my opinion would be very interesting if the monuments were opened for the tourist and they can access and learn more about the history of La Laguna.
Parque Nacional del Teide, Patrimonio de la Humanidad
El Teide es un volcán, Patrimonio de la Humanidad desde el 28 de julio de 2007, situado en la Isla de Tenerife (Islas Canarias, España). Con una altura de 3.718 m sobre el nivel del mar y unos 7.000 m sobre el lecho oceánico, es el pico más alto de España y el de cualquier isla atlántica y es el tercer mayor volcán de La Tierra desde su base. Actualemente es el parque que más visita recibe al año, en torno a los 3,5 millones.
El Teide, is an active though dormant volcano which is located on Tenerife, Canary Islands. The volcano and its surroundings comprise the Teide National Park. The park has an area of 18900 ha and was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
At 3718 m above sea level, and approximately 7000 m above the floor of the Atlantic Ocean, Teide is the highest mountain in Spain. The island of Tenerife itself is the third largest volcanic ocean island on Earth by volume. Teide is also the third highest volcano on a volcanic ocean island. Nowadays it is the park that more sight receives a year, half-close to 3.5 millions.

El análisis de estos tres recursos fueron realizados durante tres salidas de campo a La Laguna. Cada estudiante analizaba tres elementos diferentes, tanto culturales como naturales.
El Teatro Leal es un edificio situado en la calle Obispo Rey Redondo en la ciudad de San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Canarias, Tenerife). Fue construido por orden de Antonio Leal en 1915, con planos del arquitecto Antonio Pintor.
Es un edificio de estilo totalmente ecléctico. Su fachada se caracteriza por la profusión de elementos florales, animales y personajes, todos ellos realizados por López Ruiz. En su interior, destacan las pinturas murales y del tech. El Teatro Leal se convirtió pronto en un lugar de referencia para la cultura en Canarias. En el 2008 se volvió a inagurar, la población de La Laguna tiene de nuevo la oportunidad de disfrutar de este teatro.
The analysis of these three resources were realized during three days to La Laguna. Every student was analyzing three different elements, cultural and natives.
Teatro Leal is a building located at calle Obispo Rey Redondo in San Critóbal de La Laguna (Canaries, Tenerife). It was built by order of Antonio Leal in 1915, with drawings by the architect Antonio Pintor. It is a building of eclectic style. Its facade is characterized by the use of floral, animal and character elements, all made by López Ruiz. Inside
highlights the murals. El Teatro Leal became soon a reference for canaries culture. In 2008 was reopened, people of La Laguna is a further opportunity to enjoy this place.
El siguiente recurso analizado es un establecimiento muy conocido de La Laguna, la Ferreteria López. Todo lagunero ha comprado en este establecimiento, siendo este un icono tradicional de esta población.
The next resource is considered a very popular setting of La Laguna, Ferretería López. All people in La Laguna has purchased in this establishment, remains an icon for the traditional population.
Por último, analicé una placa conmemorativa. Situada en la conocida Plaza del Adelantado, donde se situaba el antiguo mercado de La Laguna.
Finally I discussed a plaque. It is located in the famous Plaza del Adelantado, where the old market of La Laguna was situated.
San Cristóbal de La Laguna, conocida popularmente como La Laguna, es una ciudad y un municipio canario perteneciente a la provincia de Santa Cruz de Tenerife (España). Esta ciudad fue capital de la isla en tiempos anteriores; actualmente la capital es Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
La ciudad fue declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en 1999. Es la tercera urbe más poblada de Canarias, tras Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y Santa Cruz de Tenerife. San Cristóbal de La Laguna (La Laguna for short, Spanish for "The Lagoon") is a municipality and city of the northern part of the island of Tenerife in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife province, on the Canary Islands. It is in the northern part of the Tenerife island. The city is also a suburban area of the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
La Laguna's historical center was declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1999. Starting en 2003 the municipality started an ambitious Urban Plan to renew this area, that was carried out by the firm AUC S.L. (Arquitectura Urbanismo y Cooperación).
